Science: Week 1

In Science, we are going to be learning about plants. This is a chance for you to get out into your garden or go out for a walk in the fresh air.

In Year 2, we need to be able to answer the following questions.



What are plants? 

What are different parts of plants called?
What do plants need to grow?

How do plants grow?

We also need to be able to understand and use the following vocabulary…

Week 1 Activities 

Lesson 1

Can you go into your garden or safely go for a walk? Look out for different types of plants, fruits and trees.

Lesson 2

Can you draw a flower similar to the image below? Can you re-arrange the parts of a plant in the correct order? Research and label the different parts of the plants that you know.
