Reading: 6

Reading Challenge 6

We hope you had a good bank holiday Year 2.
Some of you might be taking a break from learning this week, but if not here is your reading challenge!

Last week, we introduced our text.

Underneath is a link to the story being read out loud and the first few pages as pictures.

Read the pages underneath and answer the following questions.  (remember to click on the pictures to make them larger)

1)    Where does the lighthouse keeper live?

2)  Why do the ships toot at night?

3)   What did MR Grinling do every morning?

4)  ‘Mrs Grinling, worked in the kitchen of the little white cottage on the cliffs concocting a delicious lunch for him’

Can you think of another word that means concocting?

5)  Why do you think Mrs Grinling needed to use a wire to deliver Mr Grinling’s lunch?

6)  Can you list three things that were included in the lighthouse keeper’s lunch?
