English: Week 12


English Week 12




Our new book Peter Pan is an exciting story with lots of different adventures. In English this week I would like you to create a ‘wanted poster’ for the villain of the story. Captain Hook!
 




Lesson 1
LO: To find the features of a wanted poster
 

 Underneath is an example of a wanted poster created for Peter Pan.









Task 1

Can you read the wanted poster and ask the following questions?

What is Peter wanted for?
Who wants Peter?
What does he look like?
Where was he last seen?

Task 2


Can you create a toolkit for what you will need to use in your writing this week?

LO: To use adjectives to describe Captain Hook


Captain Hook is a pirate from our story. Here is a picture below and an adjective mat.





Task

Can you write 6 expanded noun phrases to describe Captain Hook? Remember to describe his appearance and his characteristics.

 LO: To plan a wanted poster



It’s always a good idea to plan your learning. Remember your poster is for Captain Hook

Think about everything you want to include in your wanted poster by answering these questions.



Task


Can you answer the questions to complete your plan?






Use some adjectives and phrases to describe Captain Hook






Make a list of the things he has done wrong





Write down what he likes to say.





Make a list of who he might be with.
